For over twenty five years, NIMS has marketed and sold computer-assisted hardware and software to detect abnormal respiratory and cardiac events during wakefulness and sleep (24/7) by utilizing sensors placed externally on the surface of the body. NIMS’ flagship diagnostic product was Respitrace®, now the basis for LifeShirt™, a 24/7 ambulatory monitoring system marketed and sold by VivoMetrics®. These diagnostic technologies were sold to VIASYS Healthcare and VivoMetrics® allowing NIMS to focus on non-invasive therapeutic devices.
From extensive laboratory research begun in 1996 and continuing to the present, NIMS has developed, manufactured and sold patented, motorized motion platforms beginning with the AT-101™ in 2002 and subsequently discontinued in 2007, Exer-Rest™ in 2007, and, Exer-Rest (II) and “Somno-Ease” for launch in 2008.
